Asma Seedat

Director

Asma has many years of volunteering experience within the community with a range of charities both locally and nationally. Asma has supported The MPS Society, Rainbows Hospice as well Sue Young Cancer Support and New Futures Project. New Futures Project supports vulnerable teenagers, young adults and women who are at risk of sexual exploitation and abuse. Asma is also a fully trained bereavement counsellor and has recently just qualified as a Therapeutic Counsellor and is looking to expand her knowledge in other areas of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Asma has been a family carer for most of her life. Her interest in qualifying as a counsellor developed from her Face 2 Face Befriending with SCOPE. It was an area that she felt she had no support when her daughter was diagnosed with an ultra-rare disease. Her aim is to give back to families experiencing mental health challenges.
